He was a Deputy Secretary/Director in the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance and served as Advisor to India’s Executive Director to the International Board for Reconstruction and Development, Washington. Mr. Bhide then served as Additional Secretary/Special Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government before being appointed as Secretary in the Department of Disinvestment with the Ministry of Finance. Mr. Bhide retired as Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance in January 2010, a position which he held from June 2007. Mr. Subesh Williams – Non-Executive Director (Din : 07786724) Mr. Subesh Williams, age 58 years, is a Chartered Accountant and Senior Vice President, Global Corporate Development at GSK plc, a role he was appointed to in September 2013. In his current role, Subesh is responsible for M&A and Business Development across GSK’s commercial businesses and has been involved in executing a number of transactions, including the creation of ViiV Healthcare (a HIV JV with Pfizer and Shionogi) and the 3-part deal with Novartis which involved the acquisition of Novartis’ vaccines business, the creation of a JV in Consumer Healthcare and the sale of GSK’s oncology business. In 2016, Subesh was appointed to the Board of Galvani Bioelectronics, a joint venture between GSK and Verily (a subsidiary of Alphabet). From 2009-2013, Subesh was Chief Financial Officer of ViiV Healthcare, with responsibility for Finance, Business Development, IT and Supply. Subesh joined GSK in 1994 and has held roles of increasing responsibility in Finance and Corporate Development. Prior to joining GSK, he was a Manager at PwC. He was appointed with effect from 7 April 2017. He has expertise in the fields of Finance, Business development and Mergers & Acquisitions.
