GSK India Continues Growth Momentum For Q2 FY2027 While Advancing Portfolio Transformation

GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd (GSK India) announced its financial results for the quarter ended 30th September 2026. The Company delivered strong growth across its General Medicines, Vaccines and Specialty Medicines portfolios, reflecting the continued evolution of its innovation portfolio, underpinned by commercial excellence. Performance during the quarter was supported by targeted lifecycle management initiatives and the growing contribution of the Oncology business, which completed its first full year of commercialisation. Growth was further aided by a favourable base effect, with the corresponding period last year impacted by supply constraints and the effects of GST-related transition.

Revenue for the quarter stood at INR 1,180 crore, a growth of 21% YoY. Profit After Tax (PAT) increased by 31% to INR 335 crore, while EBITDA grew by 20%.

The General Medicines portfolio grew strongly during the quarter with key promoted brands outperforming their respective markets (EI* >100; Source: IQVIA). Established brands including Augmentin, Calpol, Ceftum and T-bact gained market share and strengthened their leadership positions through differentiated scientific engagement and focused execution. To meet evolving patient needs and support more precise dosing, the Company introduced line extensions with Calpol 500 Suspension and Eltroxin 62.5 mcg and 150 mcg formulations. These additions reinforce the long-term relevance and competitiveness of these established brands.

The Respiratory portfolio continued to support patients living with chronic respiratory diseases, with Nucala (mepolizumab) and Trelegy Ellipta gaining traction through expanding access pathways.

The Vaccines business delivered continued growth, led by its leadership in the private self-pay paediatric vaccines market. The Company continued to shape and grow the adult vaccination ecosystem by advancing awareness of preventive healthcare among adults above 50 years, especially those with underlying cardiovascular and metabolic conditions, reflecting in the strong uptake of Shingrix (Recombinant Herpes Zoster Vaccine, Adjuvanted). On World Heart Day (September 29), the Company achieved a Guinness World Records™ title for the "Largest Brochure Mosaic-Image", created at the Company’s official headquarters in Mumbai using pledge cards from more than 5,000 healthcare professionals across the country. The record-setting structure underscored the growing recognition of the role immunisation plays in healthy ageing.

The Oncology portfolio saw accelerated momentum, with Jemperli (dostarlimab) and Zejula (niraparib) benefitting from a full year of market presence and significant patient impact. Together, these therapies are helping address significant unmet needs in gynaecological cancers, enabling more women across India to access innovative treatment options. Building on this foundation, the Company will foray into haemato-oncology with the launch of BLENREP (belantamab mafodotin), an anti-BCMA antibody-drug conjugate (ADC)**. BLENREP is indicated for relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma as combination therapy in adult patients who have received at least one prior therapy1.

Commenting on the results, Mr. Bhushan Akshikar, Managing Director, GSK India, said: "Our strong performance this quarter reflects the robust execution of our strategy to build a science-first, innovation-led business. Resilient growth across our diversified portfolio underscores the strength of our trusted brands, the increasing contribution of innovative therapies and the scientific rigour demonstrated by our people."

He added, "In line with global priorities, we continue to accelerate our efforts on late-stage pipeline assets, build momentum for our key launches across Oncology and Adult Vaccination, and simplify our ways of working. At the same time, amidst a dynamic geopolitical environment that continues to drive inflationary pressures and supply chain risks, we stay focussed on building resilience across our business."

The Company continues to enhance supply chain resilience through diversified sourcing strategies, strengthened contingency planning and improved end-to-end visibility across key operations. These measures have helped restore local and global supply chains to sustainable operating levels.
