GSK and Yuva Unstoppable Transform Education with 100th Smart Classroom in Nashik

Nashik, March 12, 2025: GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Limited (GSK), in partnership with Ahmedabad-based non-profit Yuva Unstoppable, celebrated a significant milestone with the inauguration of the 100th smart classroom at DN Patil Madhyamik Vidyalaya and Junior College, Gangapur, Nashik. This initiative is part of GSK’s commitment to promote equitable access to quality education by transforming traditional classrooms into technology-enabled learning spaces, marking a major step forward in reducing educational disparities.
As part of this Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, since 2023, GSK has facilitated the upgrade of 100 traditional classrooms, positively impacting more than 35,500 students in government-run schools across Nashik. Each smart class is equipped with digital teaching devices, interactive multimedia content, projectors, and audio systems, with comprehensive teacher training to ensure seamless integration of technology into daily learning. By integrating audio-visual content and gamified lessons into the curriculum, these smart classes enhance the learning experience, leading to better learning outcomes, and are also preparing students for a digital future.
The 100th smart class was inaugurated by Mr. Bhushan Akshikar, Managing Director, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Limited, Mr. Sanjay Dhivare, Income Tax Commissioner-Nashik, Mr. Nitin Bacchav, District Education Officer (Primary), Nashik and Pavan Jain, Chief Operating Officer, Yuva Unstoppable.
The inauguration ceremony featured an interactive Q&A session where students had the opportunity to engage with the dignitaries present, share their experiences and perspectives about the current curriculum in their school and explain how the addition of a smart classroom will enhance their experience.
